When? The During Production Inspection, also called In Process Quality Control, usually takes place when the production reaches approximately 20% to maximum 50% of the total order quantity. We will perform a close follow up of the production status with your factory in order to make sure we send the inspector at the right time.

Where? At the factory; anywhere in China.

What? The During Production Inspection, like the PSI, covers all the aspects of a regular quality inspection: product appearance (AQL), workmanship quality, size measurements, weight check, functionality assortment, accessories, labeling & logos, packaging, packing and other tests and special requirements, depending on the product and the export market. The During Production Inspection (DPI) will also cover the raw materials, unfinished products and the planning of production.

Our team of inspectors chooses a specific quantity of completed products - quantity according to AQL tables - and inspects them according to your specifications, requirements and according to our protocols and expertise.

After completion of the inspection, a fully detailed inspection report with pictures and comments is sent to you. Then you are able to Accept or Reject your shipment online.

Why? Because you might want to check if the production is running smoothly, especially if no PPI or no FAI were performed during the first processes of the production. Because you should keep pressure on your vendor shoulders and because trust is good, but control is better.

During Production Inspection

Euros 188 all-inclusive per man-day

Options available for the During Production Inspection:


Western Inspector: € 100.: For Guangdong, Zhejiang and Henan provinces NO travel expenses will be charged. For other provinces, travel expenses might apply. Please contact us in advance to book quality inspections and factory audits with this option so we can arrange our inspectors & auditors schedules.
Night overtime: € 100.: The inspector will stay at the factory after 7PM till late in order to supervise a shipment or to implement the necessary corrective actions.
Additional inspection report: € 20.: You might need different inspection reports to be established within the same man-day, especially if your order has multiple references.
Collection of samples: Free of charge.: Our inspectors can pick up your samples and send it to you. It could be mass production samples, defective samples etc.
Defect sorting option: Free of charge.: All defective items inspected will be sorted out and we will ask the factory to either rework or replace these products.
