When? The Defect Sorting Service (DSS) usually takes place after a failed inspection, usually after a failed DPI or a failed PSI. The DSS can take place before or after the factory has reworked the products.

Where? At the factory; anywhere in China.

What? For the Defect Sorting Service, the inspector will focus on a few specific points or defects and will open as many cartons as possible in order to check as many products as possible. The inspection report will only focus on the defective list of products.

Why? After a FAILED inspection and instead of sending back the inspector to make a simple Re-inspection, let's send back the inspector to focus on a few points and also on opening AS MANY CARTONS as possible (within the number of man-days allocated) in order to SORT OUT as many defective items as possible.

Also Because it is the only way to verify if the factory has correctly reworked the products, has correctly sorted out the previously spotted defective items.

Options available for the Defect Sorting Service:


Western Inspector: € 100.: For Guangdong, Zhejiang and Henan provinces NO travel expenses will be charged. For other provinces, travel expenses might apply. Please contact us in advance to book quality inspections and factory audits with this option so we can arrange our inspectors & auditors schedules.
Night overtime: € 100.: The inspector will stay at the factory after 7PM till late in order to supervise a shipment or to implement the necessary corrective actions.
Additional inspection report: € 20.: You might need different inspection reports to be established within the same man-day, especially if your order has multiple references.
Collection of samples: Free of charge.: Our inspectors can pick up your samples and send it to you. It could be mass production samples, defective samples etc.
